English at Garbí Obert started again this year in October with our students and teachers ready to have fun. This year we have six small groups of students ofdifferent ages, starting from EI to ESO, and five teachers in our team. All of these will be coordinated by Mr Alberto Gómez, Primary English teacher of the school, and now also in charge of the foreign language section in Garbí Obert.

The methodology we follow to teach English is focused on a total immersion of our students into the English language. The lessons are based on the students’ interests and they learn the language by using it with their classmates and playing dynamic games where they need to speak in order to progress.
Each group has a maximum amount of 10-13 students so they can have a more individualized attention and feel more confident when using the language. We strongly believe in fostering their comprehensive skills so they can develop their language production, both spoken and written.
Games, contests, quizzes, researches or treasure hunts are just some of the awesome activities they are experiencing so far. As you can see in the pictures, our students have loads of fun and they enjoy the lessons from the beginning until the end with their classmates and teachers.
We are looking forward to having more and more kids in our classes and, of course, anyone interested in joining us is more than welcome during all this school year!

L’anglès a Garbí Obert ha començat aquest any novament a l’octubre amb els nostres alumnes i mestres preparats per passar-ho d’allò més bé. Aquest any tenim sis petits grups d’estudiants de diverses edats, començant des de EI fins a la ESO, i cinc mestres a l’equip. Tot plegat estarà coordinat pel Sr. Alberto Gómez, mestre d’anglès de primària a l’Escola, i ara també encarregat de la coordinació de la secció de llengües estrangeres de Garbí Obert.

La metodologia que seguim per l’ensenyament de l’anglès es concentra principalment en una total immersió dels nostres estudiants en la llengua anglesa. Les sessions estan basades en els interessos dels nostres alumnes i aprenen l’idioma fent-lo servit amb els seus companys i participant en jocs dinàmics en els quals necessiten posar-ho en pràctica per poder progressar.
Cada grup té un màxim d’entre 10-13 alumnes perquè així puguin gaudir d’una atenció més individualitzada i sentir-se més segurs a l’hora de fer servir l’anglès. Com a equip, creiem molt a promoure les seves habilitats de comprensió perquè així, posteriorment, puguin desenvolupar les seves habilitats de producció tant de forma oral com escrita.
Jocs, concursos, recerques o caceres del tresor són algunes de les fantàstiques activitats que els alumnes han experimentat fins ara. Com es pot veure a les imatges, tots estan gaudint al màxim de les sessions de principi a fi amb els seus companys i mestres.
Tenim moltes ganes de compartir aquestes experiències amb més nens i nenes a les classes i, és clar, qualsevol que estigui interessat a voler formar part d’algun dels grups serà més que benvingut durant tot aquest curs!
